Training to develop soft skills for engineering students

The emergence of the Industry 4.0 has been driven by technological advances that brought need for evolution in educational sector. Education proposes a restructuring teaching methods to include socio-emotional skills highly demanded within current job market. Engineers traditionally have technical-scientific-based training; they focus on development core competencies such as mathematics, physics, chemistry and logic, while are taken granted. Among these skills, teamwork stands out, it includes leadership, networking multiculturalism, essential work performance 21st century engineer. purpose this research is propose training expand develop soft skills. was developed through systematic bibliographic review (SBR), resulting 33 base articles. application method used studies Chiavenato Kirckpatrick reference. study data were collected questionnaire compared level competence before after training. treated with Bardin's Content Analysis. results suggest there an improvement additional fourteen identified. meets desire engineers' market, which needs professionals trained deal demands inherent teamwork.
